Reconstruction is one of those texts everyone cites and few actually teach cover to cover, partly because the lectures assume a familiarity with both classical kalam and European philosophy that most students don't walk in with. The lecture on the spirit of Muslim culture, especially the ijtihad argument, tends to be where people either get hooked or lose the thread entirely.
iA we’ll go through each lecture with an eye for Iqbal’s core questions for each lecture, how it builds towards the larger central thesis of the book, his method for answering the questions, and some time for evaluation about what works, what doesn’t, and (at the end) can Iqbal’s project survive his gaps of knowledge as well as the (generally) unsuccessful attempts at reconstructing metaphysics taking Kantian conclusions viz. epistemology for granted.
